Trump is Pathetic

Trump won a second term in the 2024 election, and has promised to be a "dictator on day 1," and to execute his political opponents by firing squad.

Laughing and mocking have always been a big part of how I cope. I'm beginning to see shades of that in my automatic response to this tragedy even this early on.

I think it's safe to say, to me, Trump and his cult will always be pathetic. I would have laughed at them if they'd lost. I'm already laughing at them for winning. And if they come to my house to kill me, I'll die pointing and laughing at them.

No matter how many extrinsic prizes he takes, no matter how many people he's able to hurt and bully, a loser never wins on the inside. With all the power he could ever want, he'll still be miserable for whatever's left of his life. He has to do this to feel strong because he's actually weak. He can't hide that from me. It's written all over his face.

A friend of mine pointed out that at least this is the last term he can have, and he won't be able to run again after that. As in, run for president. But I thought about that, and I decided to myself, no, that's not all it means.

Assuming he doesn't dissolve the constitution and instate a dictatorship like he's explicitly planned to do, then yes, this will be his last term. But there's more than just one way he won't be able to run again.

He won't be able to run anymore from his shame. And he won't be able to run anymore from the guillotine.
